The Kärde Peace House is a small palktare on the southwest edge of the Kärde manor (German k Kardis) park, in which a peace agreement between Russia and Sweden was concluded in 1661. It is more likely, however, that the contract was concluded not in this smart building, but in some kind of log house (possibly in the rehetar), which was built after the breakup (probably in the 18th century) of the remaining healthy logs.
