The island of Dole is the former largest island in the Daugava Downtown, the ancient external delta district. It is located in the south-west part of Salaspils municipality between Ceļa Daugavas in the north-east and Sauso Daugavas in the south-west. Nowadays, the island of Dole is actually a semi-sala, which is connected by a buried dambi with the left coast of Daugava, but the right — the shuttle of the power plant.
