Mērsrags is a village on the western coast of the Gulf of Riga, Mērsrags district centre. The village is crossed by road P131 (Tukums-Kolka), here is the port of Mursraga, which specializes in the export of timber. The name of the village was obtained from the landscape of Mursraga, located in the northern part of the village and is the most prominent horn on the coast of the Gulf of Riga.
