Sand courts for beach volleyball and sand fields for football, playgrounds for kids, beach chairs, water sports equipment rental are all here at your disposal. In the vicinity there is Pirita Seikluspark adventure park, a yachting centre built for the 1980 Olympics, a beautiful lighthouse which can be reached by a walk along a concrete road on the pier. The beach itself is two kilometres long and surrounded by a pine wood.
The beach is awarded with a Blue Flag by Foundation for Environmental Education.
In the summer season beach bars, cafes and restaurants operate here, as well as street traders. Restaurants are open all year round. The beach can be reached from the city centre by car or by bus in 10 minutes. The main building of the beach was built for the 1980 Olympics and opened on 13 July 1979.
